Our Story
Peter Douglass, owner of Hearthstone Property Management, has always been passionate about hospitality, craftsmanship, and creating memorable experiences. His journey began in the restaurant industry during high school, where he gained hands-on experience in customer service, from waiting tables to pulling shots of espresso. This foundation in hospitality later intersected with his growing interest in construction and remodeling, where he honed his skills by flipping houses and managing renovation projects.
Over time, Peter expanded his expertise by managing a portfolio of long-term rentals and taking on ambitious renovation designs, including the complete transformation of his own four-bedroom home—all while living in it the entire time (don’t try this at home). This blend of hospitality and property management naturally led to the creation of a successful Airbnb in Lancaster City, reigniting his passion for crafting unique guest experiences.
In the spring of 2022, Peter co-founded Hearthstone Property Management with a clear vision: to design and manage stunning vacation homes that guests love, investors are proud of, and that deliver exceptional returns. This commitment to quality and hospitality is at the heart of everything Hearthstone does.
